Best Mapping Approach For Asset Management

Hi there,
Long story short I want to represent equipment in the field with markers on a map. Techs will interact with markers and report on results/activity/status, add/remove/move markers, etc. Users will see a map with their property and equipment assigned to them. Map will have heatmap overlay that can be adjusted with queries. Below map are charts displaying data from the markers/activity.

I’m somewhat stuck on a direction. Google vs mapbox vs leaflet, do I need to choose a plugin? Is it safe to build an app around a 3rd party plugin I don’t have control of?

Third party (or built-in) map plugins are just there to display your data. So, you don’t build around them, you just use them to display.

Your equipment will have geographic addresses and they will also have whatever other things you will need to do (reporting, activities, status etc). When the time comes, you will just display them in a map plugin, which you can switch if you need.
