Bit.ly plugin for Short URL and Stats

It would be great to have a Bit.ly plugin that allows the creation of short URLs and the ability to get the stats back from Bit.ly.

Agreed, would be nice. As time permits, I may give a closer look to building a plugin.

I’m trying to find a way to shorten bubble URLs to be sent inside of a text message. So I want to start with a long bubble URL and turn it into a shortlink and when that shortlink is clicked, take the user to the original bubble URL. Any suggestions on how to do this?
