đź’ Bubble Editor Redesign - Chromium Plugin - Proof of Concept

Hey!

Just posting this here to see if there’d be any “market fit” for a new Chrome extension I’ve been working on in my free time. Essentially, it is a full redesign of the Bubble Editor, including some minor feature additions.

It’s very early still, but I just wanted to see if there would be any interest from other developers. I’ve taken some screenshots. Again, this is very early, so a lot of styling is left to be done.

Design Tab

Here, not much has been added in terms of features. This is mainly just CSS changes to enable dark mode, and I redid how the “grouping” of the elements look, but that is really it for now. I plan to completely redesign the Properties modal as well, but that is not ready for show time yet.

Workflow tab

This tab does have a new feature, being filtering your workflows by colors. Obviously, still some styling left to do.

You can see the filter option in the left-hand panel. Here it is in action:

Data

Those are really it that are ready for show. Obviously not shown is the header of each page. I am working a huge project for that one, and I’m afraid if I showed it now it’d ruin the “cool” factor because it’s in pieces right now.

I suppose the main purpose of this post is mainly to see how much interest there would be in such a plugin.

Let me know your thoughts, and whether you would find this useful

All the inspiration came from this page: Creating the Bubble Editor Environment and Design System

Obviously I’m unable to fully replicate this, but I loved the dark mode theme, and that’s what started this adventure.
