Bubble Page to PDF - New Plugin from Zeroqode

Welp, unfortunately the new update broke what I had finally gotten working. Here’s the error “The plugin Bubble Page to PDF converter / action Convert PDF a Convertor to PDF v2.0 threw the following error: anonymous

@avern87, apologies for the delayed reply.

We have made one more update (seems to be the last one for now :sweat_smile:) - all previous issues should be fixed. Please upgrade to 1.35 version and give it a try.

By the way, if you want more quality in the resulted PDF file, try using the 1.25 version :bulb:

hi! @ZeroqodeSupport @levon

I’ve tried your plugin but it didn’t work quite well to me. So I’d like to know if I’m doing something wrong;

I need to convert a repeating group to a pdf file. However its height will be dynamic (depending on user input). It seems I need to set the width and height in the plugin so based on this alone, this plugin won’t work to me?

Hi, @letsexecute. Thanks for reaching out.

If you are going to convert into PDF the repeating group with dynamic size, I can advise you to set the Convert to PDF action the following way:

  • Format: Custom Format
  • Custom Format: indicate the maximum width/height that your repeating group might have with the user’s data.

There is no way you can set the plugin to adjust automatically to the repeating group size you have (if it is dynamic, depending on user input). So, the best way to set the PDF plugin to convert this repeating group is to set a bigger page Format in the Convert to PDF action.

I hope it helps.

When I save my page with your plugin it just looks like a screenshot in PDF.
I have a lot of text info on my page and I want it to be selectable in PDF.
Is it possible? I want to have the ability to select & copy text from PDF.

It is a picture. Not possible.

take a look here

What is the price of this plugin? Do I have to pay millions of dollars/month for an external service?

Hello @vovahumnytskiy. Thanks for reaching out.

Just like @robert said, currently our Page to PDF plugin saves the converted Bubble page/element as a screenshot. But we are working on the plugin implementation to make it work with the text, after the page conversion no ETA we could give at the moment.
Thanks for understanding.

It’s $7/month or $35 once. The plugin price is indicated on its page:

Hi @ZeroqodeSupport,

I’m currently using the plugin which I bought for 35$ for an invoicing program in which I wanted to save my invoice (as a group) to pdf in A4 format. However, the quality really is quite bad. Is there something I could adjust or you can help with?

Try rolling back to version 1.27

Hey @gerben. Thanks for reaching out.

Yes, as @robert has kindly advised, it can help if you use the old plugin element under the 25/27th versions. Please give it a try and also mind that the old plugin element requires a bit different setup (action).

Thanks for the update! The quality of the documents is now a lot better! :slight_smile:

Hi, thanks already for the quick reply & support!
Creating the pdf is working like a charm already. With v1.25.0 I can save the pdf as a file in my database, however sending it out via email afterwards is not working. Would you be able to help me out with this?

Regards,

@gerben,

You’re always welcome :slightly_smiling_face:

I suppose it’s because you should try save your PDF file as a text URL, and then attach that PDF URL in your email - that should work.

Friends, one good thing I have to inform you about - we have made a Bubble Page to PDF plugin update, where these things were fixed:

  • issue on the 35th version, where PDFs were not opening in Adobe Reader;
  • increased a resulting page quality.

@robert, @gilles, @avern87, @simon, @gaimed, @fza

Please update your plugin to the latest version and check it out. We hope you’ll like it. :slightly_smiling_face:

Best regards,

@ZeroqodeSupport

I am having a little trouble saving my PDF to the database.

Can you give any hints. This is what I am doing at the moment

Hi @stevenrichardlevy,
I’m currently having the same issues. I tried saving the file as a url, but this is also not working. Hopefully the guys from Zeroqode can help out! :slight_smile:

@stevenrichardlevy,

As I can see from your screenshot, you are not actually saving a PDF file URL into your database, but making some changes to your Group. The workable setup looks like this:

  1. your “Convert to PDF” action should contain this checkbox
  2. your event “When Convertto PDF A uploading to AWS is finished” should contain the “Create a new thing” action
  3. your database fields should be set properly (for file - choose type file, for URL - choose type text)
  4. result

By the way, it seems that you are using not the latest plugin version @stevenrichardlevy. Anyway, for old plugin versions the “save to database” setup is just the same:

  1. action
  2. event
  3. database is the same
  4. result

@gerben, I hope the examples above will be useful for you too :pray:

Friends, please try this and let me know if it helped.
