What Is Bubble Trying to Do Today?
The platform is focusing on using AI to create pages from scratch by interpreting natural language commands like Lovable, Base44, etc.
What Do We, the Users, Really Want?
In my point of view, a great part of bubble users are not amateurs anymore.
We don’t need 100% of the app from scratch. We need 70% (front end, mostly) that take most of our time.
Also, we can use other tools to provide an HTML sample, so you can use something almost ready
Advantages for Bubble
Technical Simplicity: It would be much easier for Bubble to convert an already structured HTML code to its standard format.
-
User Pain Point Focus: This would solve about 80% of the problems for those who use Bubble daily on complex projects.
-
Avoids Unnecessary Competition: Instead of trying to compete with code generators, Bubble would become the perfect tool for those who already have a design and need a powerful backend.
The Ideal Feature
The import tool or plugin should have an option, like a checkbox, to prevent it from automatically creating tables or workflows. The goal is to import only the visual structure (front-end), leaving the user free to configure the back-end from scratch.
