Hi everyone,

Our Bubble Summer Mobile App Challenge has officially wrapped up, and we’re thrilled to announce our winners! Over the past two months, we’ve watched our community dive headfirst into native mobile development, and the results have been incredible.

We received submissions from builders around the world (17 different countries!) — from first-time mobile developers to experienced Bubblers expanding their web apps to mobile.

A few standouts from the challenge:

Before we announce our winners, we want to highlight some of the incredible apps that caught our attention throughout the summer. There were so many great submissions that it’s impossible to showcase them all — and everyone who entered should be incredibly proud because getting an app accepted into the App Store or Google Play Store is no small feat!

Here are a few standouts:

  • Pirates (iOS and Android): A digital companion for boat owners to log trips and track maintenance.

  • GardenTrip (iOS and Android): Discover parks and gardens across France with an interactive map and filters.

  • Lineups Royale (iOS and Android): A real-time 1v1 football game where you build lineups and battle friends using live match data and tactical powerups.

  • DBT Training (iOS): A supportive tool for practicing and tracking Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills.

  • Never Bored Again (iOS): An AI-powered app that suggests fun activities based on your mood and location.

  • Taskei: Daily Family App (Android): An app for all ages to create family tasks and routines.

How we chose our winners

Our judging panel — Karthik “KP” Puvadda (Founder Relations at Paddle), Wayne Hu (Partner at SignalFire), and Lisa Michelle (Founder of Durag Fest) — evaluated each submission based on three key criteria:

  • How polished and user-friendly is the interface?

  • Does this app demonstrate complexity and room to scale?

  • Does this address a real problem people face?

And now, our winners… *drum roll*

:trophy: Best iOS App: Scanimal

A vegan product scanner that reveals hidden animal ingredients and manufacturing processes. Built by @ymarinho98 .

:trophy: Best Android App: Tiny Emotions

Interactive stories that help children understand and express their emotions through magical characters (also available on iOS). Built by @bia0508 .

:trophy: Best Companion App: Zula Kids (iOS)

Multilingual children’s stories celebrating diverse cultures and languages for ages 3-10. Built by @zula-tribe .

Each winner will receive $5,000 in cash — congratulations to all three winners!
