Monica here from the Growth Marketing team! We’ve got two things happening this month that I want to make sure are on your radar: one with a deadline coming up soon, and one that’s open now and worth knowing about if you’ve been building.
Contra x Bubble Hackathon, in partnership with Anthropic — submissions close May 20
We’re back with another hackathon, and this one is in collaboration with Anthropic. Alongside Contra, we’re putting up cash prizes and $1,000 in Anthropic API credits per winner for builders ready to ship something real.
And this cycle, the challenge is all about mobile.
The concept: Build a monetization-ready mobile app on Bubble that fits one of three categories — business, lifestyle, or communication. Your submission needs to be entered via Contra’s challenge page and ready for judges to preview by 11:59 PM PT on May 20.
Already have a web app in one of those categories? You’re encouraged to extend it into a mobile companion rather than starting from scratch — just make sure the mobile version is meaningfully distinct.
One thing worth calling out: Bubble now supports in-app purchases for mobile apps, meaning what you build this week can start generating real revenue from day one. What you build can start generating real revenue before the winners are even announced.

Launch Lab — applications open now
While we’re here: If you’ve launched a Bubble app (or are close to it), I also want to put Launch Lab back on your radar. Launch Lab is Bubble’s free, application-based program that turns your app launch into a full campaign — professional video content, a written feature, and amplification across Bubble’s blog, social channels, newsletter, and more. Everything we create together is yours to keep.
Founders like Heather and Margaux (Communitique), Dr. Kevin Zhou (Rebrief), and Julian, Alexis, Lucas, and Emily (Clover) have all come through the program and walked away with launch assets produced by Bubble’s first-class creative team.
For this cycle, we’re especially interested in mobile apps. Having an engaged, robust social following is a plus, but it’s not a hard requirement.
