I always wondered if it would be possible to build a website builder inside bubble, so i got to work and made a website builder/shopify clone.
You Can: -create a custom layout with multiple blocks to choose from -create products and display them on your site, and add custom varieties that users can pick from -create and display blog posts -create multiple pages for the site, and much more. i also wanted to add the ability to customize all element colors, but it would take too long.
I just took a quick look at your site. Great ideas! I didn’t last long on the site though. You might need to do some sort of walkthrough/tutorial for beginners since I can’t figure out how to use the site.
Sometimes when we create things ourselves, it seems easy. When you throw someone else in there, that doesn’t know how it works, they get lost and overwhelmed fast.
These are good ways to do new user onboarding. Most large companies do this, Bubble does it too with the little red arrow. It allows for new users to quickly understand how to do things using your software.
Keep up the good work! This seems like it has some good potential!
Honestly, I didn’t even know where to start. I just started adding stuff but it looks like nothing I added showed up on the other page. So I’m not sure, if there is a required order of things, you may want to not show other elements until the required ones are completed. Hope that helps a bit.
Having used website builders before, I actually found it easy and straightforward. It of course lacks many essential blocks necessary for a full website but still this is excellent. I would look forward to a tutorial on how you created this. Bravo.
Here’s the basics: After logging in and going to the dashboard, press on the editor, and then press on the plus button. You’ll then see options for blocks to add. Then you’ll see it on the bottom of the side bar. Tap on its edit button, then a group will appear with the options you can edit. You can press on the switch page button, and a popular will appear. You can create a new page, or switch between pages by clicking on their names. Also, you’ll have add product or blog blocks on your site after you create products and blogs from the dashboard so they can be viewed. Once you’re done, just click on the preview button and you’ll see what you’ve done
There’s a bit more to it than that, but I’ll explain it in detail when I make a full tutorial later. Hope this helps for now
nice app. I’m trying to create a page builder with bubble and I’m struggling on several points, is it possible to see how you managed your workflows and other stuff please?
The way it works is that all the building blocks groups, all on top of each other inside a repeating group. I then have a condition to show a group when current cell’s block is that group’s block. And by using collapse when hidden option, everything works smoothly.
Hi. I know it’s a long time since you posted this topic. But I have started a similar project. The system is a little bit different, but also enough similar. I have just 1-2 questions that I want to ask you. Can we talk in private?
@nachodip97 I know its been a while, but is there a way I can access (https://shopey.bubbleapps.io/)? I am building a sales proposal creator and would like to know if that is possible with Bubble.
