I have a client who wants to be able to search an area by city then state to look up local businesses in the area. This may be an easy question but how would I achieve something like this? Is there a way to format a search box so it would be something like (city, state) So for example. Buffalo, NY?
Hey there @jgordon,
I believe you can do this with the default searchbox in Bubble, but just select “Geographic Places”
Note: You’ll need your own Google Map API if you’re running it on your own domain.
I did try this, and I was wondering if there was any way to filter the results. If I search Buffalo, NY, the result is Buffalo New York USA, and my client is a bit picky and specifically wants it formatted as Buffalo, NY
Ah. I don’t believe you can through this Search Box. Maybe someone else will have a better answer.
No worries, I might have to work on telling them they have to settle with a different solution. Thank you for your help.
It certainly looks useful but unfortunately not what I’m looking for. Thank you for this though.
I thought there was a way to designate what it was searching for so that it wasn’t just ‘places’ but could also be locations and then you’d just customize the repeating group display content to show the addresses as you want them to be.
You can also check out the algolia location search plugin by zeroqode…that may do what you want.
