EDIT: The role has been filled.
Hi everyone,
I’m Michael, Master Keyholder at Keymaker. We develop business apps that save our clients time and money.
First and foremost, this is not a churn and burn shop/role. As the title suggests, I am looking for someone who is relatively new to the world of no-code and is looking to grow with an agency while developing their skills. We want to work with the type of person who actively seeks solutions and is curious to explore new ideas.
Here is the job description:
Job Title: Keywright (No-Code Developer)
Location: Remote (worldwide)
Working hours: Work hours must align with at least 3 hours of the Eastern Time Zone (UTC-5) business day
Terms: $25/hr for up to 10 hours per week (to start)
Type: Part-time
About Keymaker
At Keymaker, we unlock business potential by designing custom applications and intelligent automations that eliminate bottlenecks, boost efficiency, and accelerate growth.
We are a technology solutions agency of engineers, creatives, and strategists. Now, we’re looking for a skilled Keywright to join our Keywrights Guild and help craft the next generation of business software.
The Role
As a Keywright, you are both builder and architect, developing scalable (no-)code to save valuable time and money for our clients. You’ll collaborate with other Kodewrights, Pathfinders (project managers), and Visioneers (designers) to translate business problems into smart, working systems.
This isn’t a factory-coding job. It’s creative, solution engineering for people who like turning abstract ideas into clean, working magic.
Most importantly, we value culture fit, with an emphasis on curiosity and ambition. If you feel you are a good fit for our team but don’t tick all the boxes, please apply; we’d love to meet you.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop custom web applications, integrations, and automations tailored to client needs
- Collaborate with solution architects and designers to define technical approaches
- Write clean, maintainable, and scalable (no-)code with performance and usability in mind
- Translate business processes into elegant technical systems, often from scratch
- Build and integrate APIs, databases, and third-party services
- Debug, test, and deploy solutions across client environments
- Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions with the Guild (engineering team)
- Stay current on technologies and bring new ideas to The Forge
What You Bring
- 6+ months of experience in software development or solution engineering
- Strong understanding of APIs, data models, and modern web frameworks
- Experience building automations using tools like Zapier, Make, n8n, or custom scripting
- Ability to work directly with clients and teammates to translate ideas into deliverables
- A love for solving problems creatively and pragmatically
- Bonus points if you’ve shown the instinct to take the lead—whether by captaining a team, launching a project, or stepping up when no one else did
What We Offer
- 1:1 coaching and mentoring
- A mission-driven culture with real creative freedom
- Remote-friendly work environment
- Flexible hours
- A collaborative team that values quality, autonomy, and impact
- Opportunities to define your own role and forge new paths
We are the Keymakers.
If you’re ready to craft solutions with real business impact, we’d love to hear from you. Send your resume, portfolio, and a short note about who you are and what you’re looking for to talent@keymaker.studio.
EDIT: If you’ve made it this far and you think you could be a fit for our team, even though the role has been closed, reach out anyway with the phrase “growth studio” in the email body (in addition to your resume, portfolio, etc.). We may have more capacity in the future and I want to work with awesome people.
