Create Google spreadsheet when user signup


I would like to create a new Google spreadsheet when a user signups.
I’m unsure whether this sheet should be “hosted” in the users’ Google drive or mine.

Either way I want to be able to get this newly created sheet’s ID to afterwards push info to it through an API and embed it later in the web app.

I saw that many plugins exist and that sheets has its own API but I’m unsure about what to use or put together and if this is even possible.

Thanks for sharing! This works for when you have an existing google sheets. What I’m looking for is creating a spreadsheet for every user. Any ideas on that? :slight_smile:
