Simple question with hopefully a simple answer…
If I have different user types using the same page, can I use the same states on the page or should I create new?
Example would be… if both are logged in and one changes a state on the page, would it affect the other user’s state?

Unless you’ve specially designed something that will affect someone else, no, it won’t.
Each user has their own session.
