Cut off content - new responsive

In the new engine how do I cut off content, so my email fields look like “longname@longdomain…” in my repeating groups?

You can put a conditional on the text for when Parent Group example’s email:converted to list:count is > 25 then make the text display be Parent Group example’s email:converted to list:items until #22:formatted as text:append’…’. Something to that effect would work.
