Database structure best practice - Help needed

Hi Bubble experts,

I’m looking for some advice with regards to best practice for database structure for my idea I’m building in Bubble.

My project is essentially connecting local businesses to customers.

I’m building a portal for the local businesses to sign up, input their operating days, operating locations, rates dependent on job, day and location.

What would be the best way to structure the database for this in terms of what would need to be a data type and what can just be a field within the data type?

Kind Regards,

Calum

Hi Calum

It’s hard to say without knowing the full ins and outs of what data you are trying to gather and present. For Instance business may be your data type and then operating location and operating days may be a field within the data type.
However some of the fields may well become data types in themselves.
All in all there is not a one solution fits all and it’s ultimately app specific based on what you’re trying to build and achieve.
Have you looked at the manual on the bubble website?

I’d also recommend following some walkthroughs and videos and build what is being presented on the video as this will help you get an understanding of what you need with your data types and fields.
