Default Tab Element not responsive

Hi all,

I hope my title is inaccurate, but here’s what I find: I have a completely new, blank project and drag onto the design space a “Tab Element”. Now I go to the Responsive view and slide the screen width down.
Rather than getting a graceful reduction in the element, I see the tabs shrink and then overlap. Eventually the center tab becomes invisible.
I have tried many things to correct this behaviour but failed.
It seems to me that it would be helpful if the behaviour was correct by default.
Can anyone else replicate this behaviour? If so, what’s the least number of steps to correct the behaviour?
Is it possible for a suitable person to change the baked in behaviour?
Thanks,
Des

Honestly, in this case I would rebuild the tab element from scratch, if only to learn how to set the proper responsive settings, which I’ve found to be a very important part of app-building that will save you a lot of time down the road. The amount of time saved by the Template is very small.

The element templates are, I suspect, a very early and unfinished part of Bubble that I at the moment find strange that they’ve kept in, as it causes more confusion than it actually helps. In this case, it might be so old that the responsive engine wasn’t even developed when they made the template.

Thanks @petter!
Just to be clear, and to make sure we’re talking about the same thing, I’m using the “Tab Element”, found under “Element Templates”, is this the one you are talking about too?
If so, and this ready made tab element is not responsive I completely agree that it should be removed.
In the meantime, I’ll build from scratch and gain some extra learning along the way
Cheers,
Des

@des - if you’re looking for a bit of help regarding building the tabbed element from scratch, I have a video walkthrough on LearnTo. Sharing a link to the video of the lesson below.

@petter - very much second your thoughts. I think those templates were a nice idea in early Bubble days, but currently don’t provide much helpful utility.

@dan1 Followed your walk through and now have a working tab system!

Many thanks for taking the time.

Thanks, glad it was able to get you going!
