Delete row from repeating group. Current cell's "name" not showing in menu

Hi all,

Currently followed a video about deleting a row from a repeating group. I got everything to work except for the following:

In the tutorial I notice, he gets to choose “current cell’s favorite thing”. In my case, the favorite thing should be “weddings”.

I get to see the “parent group wedding” and not “current cell’s wedding”. Which is probably why it wont let me delete the row.

Anyone know’s what small thing im missing?

Would greatly appreciate any help!

Hey @houseofvideo

Good question. I believe if you use ‘parent group’s wedding’, then it might work. As long as the parent group is the current cell’s wedding. The reason your screenshot shows something different is because your delete button is inside of a group within the repeating group. That’s why it doesn’t show ‘current cell’s wedding’ and only shows ‘parent group’s wedding’.

Does that make sense?

Yes made perfect sense, thanks for the info!

Tried again with “parent group’s wedding”. For the delete button I did the following:

However if I click it in preview, the row still remains there.

I made a screen recording going through the settings, hopefully there is something to discover.

Yes. I think I see the issue. The video helped a lot. So the popup that deletes the wedding probably isn’t set up fully. When you delete the ‘parent groups’ wedding it is probably empty. 1. You can try adding the ‘parent groups’ value there or 2. just change the delete workflow to actually not choose ‘parent groups’ wedding and choose your ‘popups’ wedding instead. So you have two options here. Does that help?

Perfect, many thanks for the quick responses.

I went with the seconds flow, which made it work!
