Do I need an Apple Developers account to set up Apple Pay?

I’ve never used Apple products before.

I’m now trying to add Apple Pay to my marketplace app.

Apple Pay isn’t available in Bubble’s Stripe plugin which is really annoying so I’m having to learn how to use the API Connector.

This appears to require me to enrol in some kind of Apple Developers thing. I don’t consider myself a developer and it seems to be a fairly expensive yearly subscription. I cannot think of a single reason I will ever need it beyond accepting Apple Pay into this app.

Is this a necessary step to achieve giving my users this functionality Apple Pay or is there some other way? It seems odd that, until about 6 months ago, I could just use it via the Bubble Plugin but now I’m forced into enrolling into Apple’s “Developer Programme”…really not what I wanted at this stage on my “No code” journey.

No, you don’t… you just tick the box in your Stripe account settings (and I think you need to verify your domain)… but that’s all there is to it.

Oh that’s cool. Thank you. I’ve done all that. Just need to fathom out how to use the API Connector now which is new to me…every day’s a school day!
