Good morning,
Just wondering if you can charge a subscription only instead of one time purchases for apps. I’ve paid monthly for apps in the past through google play store where I was paying google directly outside of the specific app.

Sorry I’m not sure I’m fully understanding your question.
Are you asking how to build a mobile app that includes subscription payments?
Hi @chaoscow,
Yes, you can.
Payments isn’t natively supported yet, although Bubble says it’s on the roadmap.
But you can very much implement a subscription-based flow with the Stripe APIs and the API connector.
Yeah, I was mistaken about the example I had in mind. I originally thought I had to agree to a monthly subscription before I could download the app, but that’s not the case. The subscription is actually set up from within the app itself, and when I do subscribe, it gets billed through Google Play.
You cannot offer subscriptions in your app yet, but this is a feature that is in the works. Depending on your use case, like if your app doesn’t have any payment links to a website or doesn’t offer account creation in the app, you can charge subscriptions outside of your app.
Hey Nick! Any chance you got an example of this?
Thank you!
