A newbie question though, I want users to upload files and photos and have created a users list of things to enable this.
I also created a repeating group to display what they have uploaded but I just get text of the file.
I want the user to be able to preview and download what they previously uploaded.
How can I upload a file correctly so that a user can click on it at a later date in the repeating group and view it again?
Secondly is the ability to preview or download the file. Is this separate functionality?

To download the file, have a link in the repeating group that points to an external URL. Set the external URL to current cell’s file.
Previewing is trickier. If you share a link to the editor, we can take a look at what you’ve done so far and try to help.

Thanks for the prompt reply, I used the idea of the external URL.
It works but it also means that I have to keep the file stored elsewhere also,
My end goal here is to digitize my life, I want to be able to upload files and take pictures from my phone, add some text as to their context and then review them as I need. e.g my car insurance details,
In some cases it would be nice to preview the file quickly or in some cases I would need to download it.Any ideas you have would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like your app is set to private, so I can’t see the editor unfortunately. I’m not sure I understand what you mean by having files stored elsewhere. When you upload them to Bubble, a link gets generated. This is where the file lives, and you can just reference this link within the app.
