so when I snap 2 elements to the same grid (image1) it seems like on the actual site (image2) they are not aligned.

I know it can be weird and frustrating at first. The page is responsive, that’s why it looks different. Make sure both elements are left aligned in the responsive tab. Or both center aligned if they are the same size. Either way, that should fix it.
