In the middle of all the (fair) criticism, one thing actually works well: we no longer lose the workflow we were on when switching views and coming back.
That’s great… but damn, it came at a cost!
I want the OLD system back! This is totally unusable. Everything takes 4x longer to do and is unreadable. It was already so click intensive and now it’s WORSE! How is this exciting??? Please give us the option. If we have to keep using this, I want a % off my subscription for time lost!
Exactly! This is f*ing useless!!! I have A BIGGGGGGG app with lots of workflows and at this point I am so angry with what this is going to mean for me. Bubble was already not ideal before, but now, it’s virtually unusable!
What’s funny is 34,000 users opting in, means how many users did not opt in? Doesn’t bubble claim to have 5million users?
CHANGE ISN’T HARD when it’s an improvement on the old!!! You can unlock things we’ve been asking for WITHOUT completely destroying our productivity. This whole new approach is just plain BAD. Please give us the option to stay on legacy until you can give us something that is BETTER that before.
But that is an argument for ‘‘do people stick with status quo’’ question and the answer is 90% yes, especially 90% of Bubble users. Anyway, don’t know man this whole experience feels like I am a Bubble employee, so why not just give us everything about how did you categorize those 34k, than we should figure out as a community
Absolutely agree, who will pay for our losses when we will make a lot of mistakes with new wf? I have 1 really big app and 2 middle one and I don’t know how to work today…
Perhaps those 34,000 users closed the editor and never returned to Bubble after viewing the new WF tab, but they are still counted as users who stayed in the experience
I understand that @bubble wants to improve the overall look (I guess that is the reason). My problems are:
- I no longer recognize my app. I need to re-memorize my numerous workflows. As a user that has been paying a fortune to bubble.io monthly, now I have to forcedly adapt to my new workflows. I think it current bubble.io users were not taken into consideration, because I do not see any improvement apart from visual appeal.
- It is NOT efficient when workflows are long.
- I miss being able to see multiple workflows at oncce.
Even as a new user, I do not see any benefit from this update.
That is a solid theory, I did similar thing to Bubble AI, created an app triedd bubble asist, and left that open.
This is a beautiful video
I can’t get any work done with the new workflow tab. We need a horizontal view or the old workflow tab back asap
FWIW, and I know this doesn’t absolve Bubble of responsibility, but Codeless Love extension includes multiple improvements to the editor:
Including clicking on folders to expand them (and making them more visible):
Making the app interface manager larger:
Changing element tree row height to show more info:
Might soften the blow a little.
So many request are still asked (feedback forum, tickets to support… etc)
We need to:
- Be able to sort by event type (this is already OK) + filter by folder (same time)
- Improve performance
- Add a button to expand all folders/events, etc.
- Have a row view in addition to the column view for workflows
- Be able to rename workflow titles directly from the right panel
- Prevent drag and drop when selecting text in events (this has been especially annoying and reported since day one)
Well, i don’t like it, it sucks
Why nobody talks about the layout on the right too?
It’s very brain energy consuming to create workflows top to bottom. This is not set and forget like Zapier.
We’re constantly juggling between workflows and brain has to reset every time you open a new workflow sequence. If you find it first
I got response from bubble support that extensions are known to cause issues in editor. The extension you mentioned looks great and likely helps. Unfortunately adding an additional layer onto the system may introduce more issues as per bubble support guidance.
Does anybody know how this can be convinient?
Does anybody know how this can be convinient? It is really a fail!
Very annoying that the new workflow tab design has been forced on all users. The old design allowed me to have a much better overview over complex workflows. The new design feels more beginner friendly but less power-user friendly. Please allow the old workflow tab design to be enabled again
1000% agree!! Sooo annoying!!
