Exposing Bubble.io's Deceptive Practices and Woeful Performance

Dear Bubble.io Team,

I am utterly disappointed and frankly disgusted with the abysmal performance of your platform. Despite shelling out a significant $399 per month for the team plan, the performance of my application built on Bubble.io is nothing short of atrocious. It takes an excruciatingly long time to load, especially on mobile devices, often several minutes before any semblance of functionality becomes accessible.

Not only does this reflect poorly on the reputation of my app, but it also tarnishes the credibility of your platform. In an era where speed and efficiency are paramount, the fact that my application’s Core Web Vitals score in mobile view ranges from a pitiful 10 to 30 is utterly unacceptable. This level of performance is not only detrimental to user experience but is downright disgraceful for a platform that boasts of empowering creators to build robust applications.

To make matters worse, your lack of dedicated support for team plan customers is utterly appalling. After each attempt to seek assistance through your forums, my account gets unjustly blocked, effectively silencing any voice of dissent. This blatant disregard for accountability and customer satisfaction is utterly reprehensible.

I implore you to take immediate and decisive action to rectify these performance issues plaguing your platform. Your users deserve better than this sorry excuse for service. Unless there are tangible improvements in the performance of my application, I will have no choice but to seek alternative platforms that value their customers’ time and investment.

Consider this a wake-up call. The performance issues plaguing Bubble.io are not just inconveniences; they are driving away loyal customers like myself who expected far more from a platform of your stature.

I’ve not experienced this and I have a lower-tier plan. Likely you either have a very slow internet connection, or you have an inefficient design.

With a optimally built application on Bubble the best you are to get is likely 60, and that is not something that is consistent. Even on apps of mine that are optimized properly for performance, the best scores I’ve seen are 64 and that is a day to day thing, where the norm is around 30-35.

Bubble definitely needs to start prioritizing application performance and speed issues and stop with the nonsense of editor updates, updates to the design of Bubble home pages etc. All this junk of User Interface updates by Bubble do NOTHING to help our apps be more competitive or customer retention.

Nobody cares what the editor looks like…EVERYBODY cares how fast their apps can be.

For that price point you’d expect better support, but I do not believe they advertise dedicated support and then fail to deliver on that.

If you are experiencing issues of performance where it takes more than 10 seconds to load the app (and that high end is for a SPA), it is not Bubble, it is the way the app was built on Bubble. My pages normally load in 0.5 - 1.5 seconds, but even with those types of loading speeds, I still can not get Google to give a Performance score greater than 60 something.
