File uploader not working in "Data"

Hi,

I’m trying to attach files to a Thing. I created a new field, “Files”, with type “file”, and created 2 test records with only a Name:

Then I use the edit, upload a file, and it uploads with no problem:

I click “Save”, it says it was successfully modified, then I refresh the page and there are no files attached to the object:

Any ideas?

not really an ans… but to get some background , some docs on the data api which is likely in use by the “upload” and “edit” widgets that u make ref to…
