Hi all,
I am trying to do. filtered search so that when user selects an article category my group including the articles is filtered for only the category selected. I have a state on the Group Search + Topic that sets all categories by default and then changes the state when user selects another category. However, when I then try to do a search for articles with a constraint of category contains … I cannot find my element"Group search + Topics…" the one used in the workflow that has the custom state…see below:

Seems like now I can find the element… but it throws an error… it could be due to a duplicate? I have copied over this page from another app, where the custom state was created. Maybe this is causing some error / confusing bubble? any idea how to proceed? thanks
PS: it’s weird because it now kinda works as intended on preview, but the error is there so I need to fix it…
Update: I could now set-it up better by adjusting the custom state element on Group Search + Topics, however still have ONE error on the workflow of the custom state…any guidance on how to solve it? The front end behavior works as expected now, which is weird as this workflow allows to set the custom state after clicking on a category… which works on the front end… would be great if someone has any idea?
solved it… if it can help someone else… took me hours to figure it out!! The solution was to change the parent’s thing from the workflow’s Value section and re-select my option set.
