Focus group in Repeating Group with Reusable element

I’m struggling to access the custom state list I’ve created in a reusable element, hope someone here can help out

Here’s some more information

I’ve created the repeating group above, with a custom dropdown to assign users to a software tool. Since focus groups cannot be added to repeating groups, I’ve created a reusable element. This element stores the roles on a custom state list with multiple roles.

When I want to submit this data to my database, I can’t access this customer state of the reusable element (no matter what I try with the different data types).

Anyone who encountered this problem before?

It’s ‘In’ the reusable element? or ‘On’ the reusable element?..

From your screenshot it looks like the Custom State is ‘On’ the Dropdown element (which is ‘In’ the Reusable element)…

You can only access Custom States that are On the Reusable element itself (not on element inside it)…

Having said that… as your RE is inside a RG, you can’t refer to it anyway, so you’ll need to take a different approach here…

Perhaps the ‘Satellite’ and/or ‘Orchestra’ plugins might be needed…

Thanks for helping out!

I’ve followed your advice by installing the satellite plugin. It does what it promises and now lets me transfer the data from the reusable element to the repeating group on the page.

Do you have experience with the satellite plugin yourself? Because I’m encountering an error message and am not sure what the problem is.
