Reusable element custom state doesn't display when I create new thing in repeating group

I have an icon display focus group created by reusable element and I created a custom state then I added it to an RG in a norther page, but when I want to create new thing in the RG, I can’t find the custom state for the reusable element to be the source of one of the RG data type in order to be changed when I change the state. Is there a way to fix this?

I think you will need to set the state inside the page level or any other element in page to use it. You can’t access the state set in a reusable element.
