Performance, scale and price. The game changed after Bubble’s pricing change.
I think that it’s a good idea, whilst I’ve gotten over the whole pricing thing, Xano has some powerful features that can work nicely along side bubble, especially for things that bubble does not specialise in such as routines and heavy data stuff.

Edit: while we’re at it, it’s also not going to become a “Bubble’s database sucks” thread or a “What other databases do you recommend?” thread… just sayin’.
If you’re building correctly and following best practices scale & speed aren’t concerns. If it is then you’re building wrong in most cases.
For safety, I do keep external backups on firebase/xano depending on client request but only if they are post revenue. Simply bc I’ve had 2 occasions in the years I’ve been on bubble where bugs happened and even support couldn’t retrieve lost data but could confirm it disappeared.
