Today the event color field has to be a direct object in the type, but it would be an awesome idea to be able to select a link object’s text, like a text attribute from an option set.

Do you mean that in the standard FullCalendar plug-in you are unable to set each events color independently of the others?
This plugin already allows you to accomplish that! I would be happy to add you in as a tester for free if you’re willing to provide some feedback! I’ve got six tester slots left available. All testers will get to keep a copy of the plug-in for whatever app they choose for free forever!

The thing is that I have the color in option sets (hex), and I can´t select something like Current event´s color´s Display, I can only link to something like Current event´s color.
