Group by: in repeatng group not being able to sort by date

Hi All

Just checking if anyone else has experienced this:

So I have a repeating group and I was searching for a thing and needed to group by a particular region to display a unique name and a total count. This all worked great, except when I do this no matter what I try I am unable to Sort By Created Date Ascending or Descending - it just doesn’t seem to work.

I ended up doing was search and instead of using group by the region I used Unique Elements method and this worked again but this time I was able to Sort by date.

Is this a limitation of Group By?
