How can I type inside a Date Picker input?

I want to be able to type inside a Date Picker input and not only be able to select a date with my mouse. How can I achieve this. Any ideas? Thanks a lot in advance, friends!

Thanks for the post and cool question! If I were to try to build something like this, I might use one of the available input formatter plugins with a regular input. There’s also been some discussion on the forum about converting text to dates that might be worth checking out.
