How to close the Tab?

Hi Guys,
I am running an action to open a page using a link element, and the state is set on page load. Now I want to end the action and close the tab. On the click of the button I set the state to null using the plugin function close the tab but its not working, is there any other way to do it?

Did you find out ? I would like be able to Kill tabs by identity? to keep multi-tab session tidy

Use the action “set state “

Choose the element where the state is housed

Choose the state

Leave it empty

This should set it to empty

OK got you, as in" belonging to " … thanks I’ll try it . I have a few uses for it

But How can I set a state to the “Open a new tab” with the external URL. It is that tab I want to close not the element / page from where it was invoked
