Search and selection in this case are two different things.

Search is trickier, but it more or less boils down to two possible solutions.
Here’s one possible in-house solution:
The other one is to use the other external address lookup API (not generic google one), and limit the search area to a specific country\city, etc.
Can’t tell you which API to go, but here’s what I got after a quick google search.
