Keep getting random messages from Bubble popping up and making an alert sound that disrupts my train of thought and causes me to look to see which system alerted me. When I work, I keep my Bubble homepage open as I often need to open multiple apps, so I do not want to have to close the homepage tab all the time.
The messages in my system are all from 270 - 300 months ago, and I am already frustrated enough with the 3-4 emails after submitting a bug report to alert me to the fact that, the report was submitted, the report was looked at, the report was escalated to the right team, the report is being investigated…I really do not need the same time of notifications on a homepage chat bot.
Thanks for flagging this! For context, this appears to be related to a data migration the Support team is performing as they prepare to move to a new conversation and ticket management platform. The team has investigated why you were receiving these notifications, and it should be fixed now. In case you are still receiving sounds from incoming messages, you can also mute notifications from the bot by clicking on “view site information” in your browser and opening Site settings, then selecting block notifications. (Chrome shown as an example.)
I also wanted to take this opportunity to let you know that the team has heard your concerns about the bug reporting process, and are actively working on improvements. To start, in July, they’ll be going live with a new option that allows you to submit a bug report as an “FYI”, essentially opting out of any back-and-forth conversation with the team. This additional option can be used in cases where you’d like to flag something, but prefer not to engage any further than that.
@fede.bubble that feature doesn’t really address the concern I raised, in that I just don’t want to be sent multiple emails
to state the report was received
to state we are looking into it
to state we are testing and will reach out
it is being sent to another team
Ultimately, I’d rather just be notified once somebody has additional questions or a resolution. I personally rarely ever make an “FYI” type of Bug report. If I report a Bug it is because I need it fixed, so the back and forth to get it fixed might be necessary, but the first 3-4 emails letting me know it was received, it was looked at, it was tested, it was sent to another team, those are unnecessary.
