I’m currently working on an education app and looking for the best ways to implement interactive learning features. I want to make the app engaging and effective for learners of all ages.
What are some must-have interactive elements you’ve seen in education apps? Have you worked with features like gamification, AI tutors, real-time collaboration, or adaptive learning?
Also, what technologies or frameworks do you recommend for smooth implementation?

I’m making a language-learning app. What I did was use other apps myself and try out a lot more of them and read about still more of them. I thought about my favorite apps and why I liked them, but what features I wanted that they didn’t have. I then set out to make an app that supplements existing apps, filling in the gaps of what I felt was missing.
An important feature in any learning app is variety. The more variety of activities and quizzes, the better people will retain what they learned, the more people the app will appeal to and help, and the less likely they’ll get bored with your app.
You also need to select the pace and level of control you want for your app. For language learning, Drops is too fast-paced for me, but some people really like it. Instead, I use FunEasyLearn, which lets me set my own pace and control my own learning. I’m speaking of language learning, but you can still get some ideas by trying out these apps. My personal favorite apps are Quizlet and LingQ. I’ve been paying for these monthly over a long period of time.
Another good place to look for ideas is Wordwall.
You might have other things in mind when you say “interactive,” but I think these basics still apply regardless.
I’m going to be my app’s biggest user, but I also have a list of features to add eventually that I know other people want. And I’ll have feedback features built into the app that will allow users to send me feature requests and information about bugs or frustrating parts of my app, which will help me tremendously.
