Html download link keeps prepending my base URL before links

Hi,

I thought that would be a piece of cake but not, or maybe I am missing something obvious

I am creating a download button for a .mp4 video that is stored elsewhere on the web.

The issue is that there always is my base URL that’s prepended to the correct link.

Here is my HTML

And here is the link on the end-result page.
Green is the actual video URL. Red is my bubble app URL.

Where does that prepending come from? :face_in_clouds: :face_in_clouds:

@bonjour_17 if you don’t include the protocol in the link (i.e. https://) it will be treated as an internal relative link (i.e. a link on your own site, so the url will be appended to your own domain).

So make sure to include https:// or http:// in the link URL.

That’s it, dayum easy! Thank you, woul’dn’t have found before another 30 min or so :ok_hand:

That being said, I’ve added the https protocol, but it still misses something as right now the file OPENS but does no DOWNLOAD is started
