There are some things that really irk me, and I’ll be honest the forum can be a pretty tough place for the bubble team.
Lots of opinions, of course at the moment there are some real bugs bears but I wanted to start a thread that list some of the things that I think bubble does super well and I’m grateful for.
I’ll start with speed, when I first come to bubble around 7 years ago a simple workflow could take forever to complete, page times could be counted in 10s of seconds. Now I can create some pretty snappy apps
Speed of building, building on bubble is like playing a video game for me, I can almost build as fast as I can think making the process of work super enjoyable
For me, I run a lot of bulk operations and loops and the improvements over the last 9-12 months on backend processing have made these workflows so much faster and reliable than what I had seen before - keep em coming!
And yea as you’ve mentioned, the experience of designing, building and testing in Bubble is so streamlined and borderline fun is the one that I’m thankful for.
I really love the power to create a UI, a whole database structure and connect several APIs in a few hours, amazing.
Another great feeling is that when you build properly, the iteration process it’s fast. The people around product management even don’t finish to do design thinking for a feature when I realized that the new feature or change could only take 2-3 hours.
Providing me the opportunities that would not exist without it. Bubble has changed my life in such a positive way. It is easy to think people are ungrateful when they are speaking of negatives, but most likely, 95% of the most vocal users pointing out flaws or speaking on areas that need improvement, are the most die-hard Bubble fans, and offer their insights because they think so highly of Bubble and believe in its positive transformative abilities, that they more than most want to see bubble succeed, and be the dominate NoCode tool.
There are too many things to be grateful for that they do well, it’s not necessary to list. The areas they need to improve, can be counted on two hands that might be missing a few fingers.
I love the ability to connect to api’s so quickly.
I also love all the nooks and crannies of bubble, the amazing things you discover is possible while you’re trying to work around an issue but inadvertently learn a new trick
