I’m a Bubble.io developer with a strong focus on front-end work. I enjoy building clean, after that I have developed over 20 no-code web applications including booking platforms, admin dashboards, AI-integrated student tools, and dynamic templates for bubble marketplaces
UI design implementation
Responsive layout fixes
Front-end polishing and workflows
Complex database structuring and user permission logic
Responsive UI design using elements
Integration with external APIs
Fast iteration and bug tracking for clients.
Rebuilding Figma designs in Bubble
Mock-up to bubble etc
I’m available and open to taking on project based or ongoing hourly work at $15/hr.
Hey, please don’t do this to the community. As Bubble developers, we’ve all worked really hard to keep rates fair. I genuinely believe you’re capable of so much more, you can absolutely charge a much higher hourly rate than this. Trust me!
$4/hr is extremely low, especially considering the expertise and support required for complex Bubble apps. Clients tend to be cautious of rates that seem too good to be true—pricing yourself too low can actually hurt your credibility and make it harder to win quality projects.
This is a natural consequence of AI replacing junior devs that focus on front end work, which seems like design, and AI is doing it already.
Instead of just trying to charge more the OP should sit down, think of strategy to create a client funnel, isolate a niche, and try to become really good in one or two areas.
But, yes, definitely scary to see such low hourly wages being offered, as that can affect to some degree the overall range of pricing, which can pull down even what the top “1%” of devs might be able to charge.
Hey, thank you so much for saying this — it really means a lot to me! I completely agree that I shouldn’t undervalue my work. Do you have any practical advice on how to position myself better and find clients who are ready to pay higher rates? I’d really appreciate any tips!
Thanks for pointing this out — you’re right, I really don’t want to damage my credibility. Do you have any advice on what rate range is reasonable for Bubble devs just starting out?
I see you’ve built over 20 apps… $15/h for someone that has that experience is extremely low! Also, you haven’t attached your portfolio to this post. I don’t expect people to take your word for it. There is no social media links to your portfolio, no website, nothing that will give me any validation to your work. I’d say build a portfolio first, then post something like this and start charging for projects.
When I was starting with bubble I would make a replica of every single thing I could find… I made a replica of Etsy, Instagram, Twitter… built my own weird projects and posted everything online, about the process, my struggles, learnings… etc.
I don’t think the market is oversaturated and it’s being replaced by AI developers. Good bubble developers still find work, there are millions of bubble projects that do need bubble developers to maintain them, upgrade, but also people still come to me with new ideas that want to be built on bubble!
It does take a lot of work, but charging low rates is never the solution when you’re a newbie.
I’m gonna be totally honest with you having been in the situation you are in.
Please avoid being (potentially) dishonest about your experience level, it will work against you.
Its the worst thing you could possible do, as you’ll get thrown into a highly technical project and have no idea how to implement it in alignment with the project scope(trust me, I’ve been there).
I’m not saying you are dishonest, but you seem to have joined the forum on April 24 this year and that’s unlikely for someone who has built 20 apps in Bubble.
Rather, be honest about your experience level and as someone once told me invest heavily in your Bubble education and the work will find you.
Also just a side-note when you call yourself a front-end dev, that’s code for I’m inexperienced.
If I were you, I’d still charge the low rate however, try and find a position where you will be encouraged and empowered by more experienced developers to learn the core of building in Bubble.
I hope you do not take this the wrong way as I could be completely wrong about this.
Totally agree with the responses above your time, knowledge, and expertise are worth far more than $15/hr. Don’t undervalue your skills just to attract quick business; clients who truly appreciate quality development will always invest accordingly.
Remember: pricing yourself higher isn’t just about earning more money; it’s about building long-term respect and sustainable relationships. Clients who pay more see you as a valuable partner, not just a low-cost solution.
Believe in your expertise. Charge what you’re truly worth, and the right clients will always follow. You’ve got this!
Most people in big Bubble agencies like RapidDev (Zeroqode) get paid even less, despite the fact that these companies charge US clients $80+ per hour. They sometimes pay developers from Eastern Europe as little as $5-6 per hour—not to mention the abuses and other negative practices workers may experience. So, at least this guy will keep the full $15 per hour, and I hope he’ll successfully find clients.
