I'm struggling with a decision and need some advice

I’ve done nearly 90% of the work on the mobile beta so far, but I’m debating whether to switch to a web app.

Here’s why:

I believe in-app payments will be resolved as planned in early February.
The problem is deep linking—it’s so serious that it requires changing the business model. I was told it’s included in the development roadmap, but I don’t know when it will be implemented. What would you do?

  1. Wait until it’s supported.
  2. Restructure to implement a similar solution.
  3. Restart as a web app.

At this time, the Mobile app is hardly production-ready as a standalone app. You’ll find that having a webapp as back up is almost mandatory, unfortunately…

That being said, I found that building native app is so much faster as you don’t have to deal with the responsive aspect so much.

If you do a webapp, I would also very strongly advise to build with ReUsable Elements right from the start, or else you’ll be impacted by performance limitations on the Editor.

Hi there @hayoungtai ! pretty exciting that you are so close to the finish line with your mobile app. Deep Linking is something the team will be working on in Q1 2026, they’ll be sharing more information in coming weeks.

WHy is deeplinkign the problem? You haven’t explained…

Wrap your bubble app with build natively and you have all the features you need. Now. Will take a day, or maybe two to setup.

When Bubble started with mobile and the first delivery dates were shared I said…it will be much later as it clearly shows that Bubble has no experience with mobile and mobile is hard. Even when you do it fully natively. And here we are. One month becomes two, three and before you know it it is 2027.

Features will get harder and harder to deliver on time and Bubble does not have a good track record anyway with delivery of features. And as soon as users come in with mobile apps live in the store more and more time will go towards fixing operational issues and less towards adding new features.

This is harsh, but you need to know as it will bite you. Bubble is a great platform to get something live yourself. But be not mistaken, if you seriously want to make money with it you will be feeling like a developer soon. I think the quickest way of getting something production grade that users love including some iterations is hiring a top notch bubble expert or agency and set aside €50k budget. Way cheaper and faster than hiring devs, way more expensive than vibe coding but for vibe coding you need to know how to write good code.

The best thing you can do is look at what works now. Not what might work in the future.
