Important | App Is down | Unpkg issues 502

Hi all, @Airdev have switched the CDN for the feather icons plugin to jsdelivr. Unfortunately this is not an easy problem to fix for anyone. In total we have clocked 10 hours of severe sluggishness on our sites over the last few days in of course, peak times. To quote the bubble team “the main issues here may be that unpkg is mostly dead - other sites like shopify and tagify have started to move away from using it”. Community plugins and outdated/unmaintained plugins will be the biggest problem here.

To help moving forward I have suggested to the bubble team that we have some additional meta data on the plugins to help site owners choose whether to install the plugin or not:

  1. Date last reviewed by Bubble
  2. Compatible with New responsive engine
  3. Plugin API used
  4. Uses external file references / packages or API calls

In the meantime, reach out to the plugin owners, fork the plugin and update (when you can) or replace with another plugin seems to be the only way forward. I was not looking forward to replacing 400 feather icon elements on our site!

Hey Sam

Thank you for the reply.
Yeah completely understand its not going to be easy. The issue I think is more unpkg being completely unresponsive on this issue. Cloudflare has been working completely fine, the error looks to be specifically with unpkg. Is this something where the option can be given to the user to change cdns on plugins?

or the option to fork private plugins that arent as managed.

It was a southern hemisphere issue - if you are in northern hem you wouldn’t have seen this behaviour

But feather icons and canvas elements (lottie files) where the main ones I noticed.

Hi all, just a short notice on the matter.

We have pushed a plugin update, that has fixed the issue related to the unpkg loading time in version 2.61.0: updated links in the header.

If there is anything else that we can help with about our products, tag us in a message and we will be glad to help
