Improving YouTube video thumbnail quality?

Hi all –

I have a small, right-hand column that contains relevant YouTube videos to the main featured content. The thumbnail quality is very poor, I’m guessing because the element is small?

I tried ensuring the dimensions are 16:9, but it didn’t seem to make a difference. At 260px * 146px it ends up looking like this:

Any insights appreciated.
