Input Element - Date Format

Newbie and this is probably a very simple one, but struggling and not found anything in the forums (which has solved everything else to date).

I’m using the “Input” element with the “Content format” set to the “Date”, but want to change the format to dd/mm/yyyy. It is the initial capture that is causing the problem and always using the mm/dd/yyyy format. Once I’ve taken the date, formatted and stuck in the DB, subsequent input boxes (such as editing DOB) is fine… just that initial one during signup!

How about using Date_2 for the content type, which uses dd.mm.yyyy?

That will do it. I could have sworn it was mm.dd.yyyy when I tried and I thought the only difference was sapping the “/”, but I must have just at a visual wobble!
