I would like it if the inputmode=“decimal” was set as an attribute on the input tag, when its a decimal input, so that the browser defaults to the correct keyboard on mobile devices.
iOS used to keep whatever keyboard you were using when moving input boxes but now it switches back to text input when moving. When entering a lot of numbers like on a timesheet this can drive you nuts having to change keyboards on every single input box.
setting inputmode should have no backwards compatibility issues?
Please this should be a very simple little update?
