Hello!
I know it is possible to do it from the DB, pretty easy, but I’m not able to do it from custom states.
Basically, I set 2 values to 2 different custom states, and I’d like to disply one of them randomly
Thanks for your help!

Hey @Acatenango
There is almost always multiple ways to do one thing in Bubble. Here is another example that might work for you too.
Editor: testApp42wCleanDB | Bubble Editor
Not sure how your states are set, but this is just as a text field as an option.
Hope that helps.
Edit: Another option is just to add the two fields into an option set and then choose one of those options randomly since it will be the same as pulling something from the database.
Thanks for your help, I set both custom states from an Input, as the user should be able to type them, it’s not from a list I know in advance
That make sense. So either of these options should work for you I think. The editor I sent you or the other idea from @ademiguel
Sorry I don’t get it, I’m able to add the CS to the list, I can display the number of things added to this for example, but I’m not able to randomly choosing one and displaying it
Can you show us more of how you have it set up, or a screenshot of what your error looks like in the workflow? That might help us.
EDIT: Oh I got, I had to create a new CS to extract one from the list, thanks guys!!!
Of course, it’s not really I’m getting an error but I don’t get the logic, I’m a newbie
I’ve setup 2 inputs: Input 1 / Input 2
with the workflow I can add them to a CS list called Partners:
From there, I’m not able to randomly pick one in the list and display it
Glad you got it working!
