Is there a way to preview a file, e.g., in a popup, rather than have it open or download in a new window?

About file, I am not sure.
But if it’s text or picture, I think it is possible.

  1. Make popups under design element
  2. On the popup, make repeating group that shows the data
  3. On buttons/icons/texts, make a workflow. Choose - showelements - then choose popups that you prepare.

You can preview images, pdf, doc, xls. You would need plugins for this. You can preview the files in any group, in popup as well.

If the files are private (privacy rules are applied) you won’t be able to preview the files this way.
