Issue with finding and counting items in list of text

Hi all:)
I’m building a high school reunion survey app with multi step form.
I wand to display to the user an overview of all the answers filtered by city and yearbook.
I store the answers for particular question in a list of text, and when i try to find and count a answer (with filtered) bubble only finds the item in the list if the list contains only 1 item.
if the list contains 2 items or more “filtered” or “contains” don’t find anything
