How are you feeling about building mobile apps in Bubble? Have you shared screenshots of your builds yet?
The direction Bubble is taking with this feature is fantastic and incredibly promising for mobile development. However, with the current elements available, it’s still challenging to build everything we envision. For instance, vertical lists and alerts are key components that are currently missing.
Looking forward to seeing how this evolves—thank you to the product team for this exciting step forward!
So far, things are going well. However, it’s a bit frustrating that we can’t build mobile plugins. It’s especially annoying when we need to wait for the next platform release. It would be great if we could build something like charts quickly, for instance.
Deep Links, very much needed, and might be a quick win compared to more complex features.
App State Variables, so we can store values for long term like language selection
Other elements which already works on web, but understand it takes time to make them mobile compatible
And agree with others, would love to have plugins working
BubbleGo is great, however there are some issues, like current geographical location not working for me, API calls being really slow or having a proper debugger there.
A changelog/roadmap would also be great, but great job so far!
Is horizontal list the only type of list available currently? definitely being able to copy and paste repeating groups or an easy way to convert a repeating group into a list. and deep links or the ability to use the “Share To” → your bubble.io app and send a photo or url as data to a certain page.
Honestly I haven’t touched it since I was accepted. It’s pretty far from what I believe it needs to do and seems like the process is moving pretty slow on creating just the basic functions like Vertical RG, native functions like opening other apps/links, compressing photos, etc. The sad truth is I don’t have the time to invest into working on a beta application when “hopefully” those features that are needed will be created in a couple months/year and all that work going into creating work arounds will be wasted, let alone the cost of WU I would spend testing the product.
