Hi,

I’m assessing interest for this:

“a Chrome Extension detects the SaaS website you are on and shows you the keyboard shortcuts for the site”

in addition, I may support the ingestion of a shortcuts file from your site if you make it available.

the concept is pretty simple:

  • many sites have keyboard shortcuts
  • it’s hard to remember them all
  • lets make it easy to show the keyboard shortcut info for the site you are on

I set up a landing page yesterday and have several signups so far, but will defer the build until I assess the demand, plus get more feedback about the requirements.

Huh. I mean, this sounds like an interesting coding exercise, but nothing that anyone in their right mind would pay for, much less bother to install. Just my 2 cents.

Pretty good idea. I’d definitely take it for a spin if it looked polished/like it was going to be accurate.

Would be a great way to quickly check out a platform’s shortcuts and determine if they were worth digging into or learning.

@keith Tbh id personally use the hell out of it. Likely not something I’d pay pay monthly for but a $9-$19 annual or 1 time cost absolutely.

thanks for the feedback Keith, good to see a range of views on this one. I expect for many people they know the shortcuts they use and this is of no value, and for others it can be an handy contextual reminder. I’ll only build it if demand is pretty strong.

Some time has passed since I posted this and I’ve decided to not pursue it further.

I am currently working on this at the moment…

Looked at it. Nice one, it would be useful. It indeed better than keyboard shoertcuts.
