Live to dev database not restoring errors

I’m new to this but learning lots quickly - this is such a great community.

I have accidentally deleted the header element on my dev branch so thought I could simply restore from the live database.

This seems to restore user data but none of the design elements - is there a way to restore an element from the Live enironment?

Just copy from the live version and paste it into the dev version.

Alternatively, you can simply revert your app back to an earlier time, before you deleted the header.

Tried copying from Live but even though the file is there, I get ‘Deleted reusable element’ displaying.

If I wanted to revert back, how do I do that, I don’t have any savepoints

Click on the branch name (most likely ‘Main’) at the top right of the editor, click History, then Custom Data & Time.

I get the ‘You can’t restore this branch to the date and time because it is outside your plan retention window. Your current plan does not let you go back more than null hours in the past. Please upgrade to get back to earlier versions.’ message - although my current plan ‘starter’ states that I should be able to restore the past 48 hours.

The Live version is still good, I just wish I could copy all files to Dev/main. Maybe I’m missing something?

In that case I’d suggest contacting Bubble support to see what’s wrong.

I’m not sure what you mean by ‘files’? Bubble doesn’t deal with files.

But you can copy and paste anything you want/need from the live version into your dev version.

Thank you for your help - I was able to restore with a custom time/date.

I can’t work out why a ‘Copy Live data into the development database’ wouldn’t do the same thing though. I have a lot to learn!

That only applies to the data in your app’s database - which is a completely different, and separate thing, from your app itself.
