Mailchimp Extended - Signing up deleted contacts

I am trying to re-subscribe up a user that has been permanently deleted from my Mailchimp contacts. When attempt to do so, this is the error I get:

I am assuming there is something I can do to handle non-new email subscribers? If so, how can I address this? Thanks!

Hi @kamesh, maybe you can add this text "status": "subscribed", below “status_if_new”: “subscribed”.
