Make a group of buttons act like a multi-select dropdown

Hi Forum,

I’m trying to set up a home-type filter. But usual (multi-select) dropdowns are a bit too monotonous IMO so I’ve set the design up like this:
Website:

Development:
Screenshot (387)

These are just a group of buttons with custom states defining if they have been selected yes/no and showing different elements once selected.

Now, I’m trying to setup URL parameters to filter the RG from, but I cannot get it to work. I only get it to add 1 home-type and that doesn’t even remove once deselected.

Goal: Adding multiple home-types which lead to one parameter value which I can then read from the RG search function.

Does anyone have any ideas?

You might need to force the repeating group to refresh the data by using the action ‘Display Data in a Repeating Group’ when people click the buttons.

Someone please correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe if you’re using URL parameters and referencing them from a repeating group and then changing them, the repeating group won’t dynamically update unless the page refreshes - hence the action above.
